On the morning of December 4th, a delegation from the University of Strathclyde, UK, including Mr. Stuart Shorthouse, Director of International Recruitment for the Faculty of Engineering, and Professor Bradley Wynne, Head of the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, visited our college for an exchange. The meeting was attended by Jordan, Deputy Director of the Office of International Exchange and Cooperation, Liu Yaosheng, Party Secretary of the college, as well as faculty representatives from various disciplines. The discussion was chaired by Yin Zhishuai, Vice Dean of the college.
Party Secretary Liu Yaosheng delivered a welcome address on behalf of the college, providing a brief overview of the college's general profile, research platforms, talent cultivation, and international exchange initiatives. During the meeting, both sides reviewed the recent progress in the inter-university collaboration between the two institutions, particularly the development of the International Vehicle Engineering Program. They engaged in in-depth discussions on advancing high-quality international cooperative education programs, enhancing the global training of undergraduate and postgraduate students, expanding academic exchanges for faculty members, and promoting academic cooperation in engineering and technological fields, reaching a consensus on future collaboration.Both parties expressed mutual expectations to strengthen academic exchanges and reciprocal visits on the basis of existing international cooperative education programs, while further promoting joint postgraduate training and scientific research cooperation.
