The school focuses on key research areas including automotive component design and manufacturing, vehicle lightweighting, electrification, intelligentization, energy efficiency and emission reduction, and end-of-life vehicle recycling. Over the past three years, the school has achieved significant research outcomes, summarized as follows:

1. National-Level Research Projects & Funding

  • Approved 78 national-level research projects,  including:

    • 44 National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC)   projects (1 key project, 1 Excellent    Young Scientist project, 1 major research cultivation project)

    • 1 National Key R&D Program project

    • 2 major projects with funding exceeding 10 million  RMB each

  • Total research funding: 263.83 million RMB

2. Scientific Awards & Academic Outputs

  • Won 37 scientific awards, including:

    • 8 provincial/ministerial-level first prizes

    • 9 provincial/ministerial-level second prizes

  • Published 562 high-impact international  journal papers (T1-tier and above)

  • Granted 463 invention patents

  • 50 technology transfer projects

3. Key Research Platforms & Industry Collaboration

The school has actively promoted the development of major research infrastructures, including:

  • International Innovation Hub for New Energy Vehicle   Science and Key Technologies
