The meeting carefully reviewed the work report of the Wuhan University of Technology Automotive Industry Council. Hu Jian, Assistant President of our university, comprehensively summarized the council's achievements in promoting deep industry-university-research collaboration, joint key technology breakthroughs, open sharing of high-quality resources, and collaborative cultivation of industry talent. He clearly defined the next phase's core work directions focused on the transformation and upgrading of the automotive industry, emphasizing the need to deeply implement the integrated development concept of education, technology, and talent. This provides a practical path for the efficient integration and deep collaborative development of automotive industry resources, which will undoubtedly write a new chapter of win-win industry-university cooperation in promoting high-quality industrial development.

The keynote speech session brought together industry authorities who shared cutting-edge insights from technological, industrial, manufacturing, and disciplinary perspectives. Li Kaiguo, former President of China Automotive Engineering Research Institute and Supervisor of China Society of Automotive Engineering, presented the "Energy-saving and New Energy Vehicle Technology Roadmap 3.0," interpreting the technological evolution logic, key breakthrough points, and industrial implementation strategies for energy-saving and new energy vehicles. Gao Pu, Standing Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of China FAW Group, delivered a speech titled "Following Energy Development Trends, Leading Innovation and Transformation, Jointly Promoting the New Energy Vehicle Industry to New Heights," where he analyzed transformation opportunities, challenges, and breakthrough paths for the automotive industry in the new era from three dimensions: industrial pattern, technological innovation, and business models, based on FAW Group's new energy practices and strategic layout. Zhao Xiaobin, Deputy General Manager of SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, shared the "I2MS Intelligent Island Manufacturing Model," detailing innovative practices in smart manufacturing, efficiency improvement, and quality assurance, providing a benchmark case for the intelligent transformation of automotive manufacturing. Hua Lin, Chief Professor of Wuhan University of Technology, presented the "Construction and Development of the Mechatronic and Vehicle Engineering Department," introducing the department's disciplinary development, research platforms, talent cultivation achievements, and future-oriented disciplinary planning and research directions, highlighting the intellectual support value of higher education institutions for industrial development.

The meeting included an industry promotion session. Shiquan County of Shaanxi Province presented its automotive equipment industry chain, introducing local resource endowments, industrial foundation, and investment policies, building bridges for coordinated development across the automotive industry value chain. The university's Automotive Industry Education and Training Center showcased its characteristic programs in talent cultivation, technical training, and industry-education integration, providing strong support for building industry talent echelons.

Alumni from the School of Automotive Engineering actively contributed ideas and suggestions for their alma mater's development.
